Our Story

Lor-Jan Transport, LLC began as Lor-Jan Livestock in 2020, as a regional livestock trucking company. As owners, we built upon our love of cattle, moving from small, family farms into a family-owned cattle hauling business that prides itself on treating all animals in our care like our own.

Having dairy farm backgrounds in the Northeast, nearly a decade of hauling experience with fluid milk and other livestock transportation businesses, we truly understand your needs of relocating cattle short and long distances. We pride ourselves on being a second-generation cattle hauling business. Our roots begin with Loren’s parent’s BL Harkness Trucking, a highly-respected, single truck operation based in Pennsylvania that is still going strong 30 years later!

Our home-base became Southwest Kansas at the beginning of 2021. We have developed relationships with regional and long-distance haulers and customers. Keeping the business in the family, we were blessed to add a little girl to the team in 2022, joining our four older children.

Lifetimes of experience with animal feeding and care, routine and scheduling, along with a Cornell University Animal Science Degree, we are more than just truckers or outlaw bull haulers. We have the experience and animal sense to make every load a success!

We treat our customers as we would want to be treated, taking great pride in the care we give while protecting and maintaining maximum value of each and every animal at all life stages.
